Kilcooley Emotional & Mental Wellbeing Directory of Services

Kilcooley Emotional & Mental Wellbeing Directory of Services

The Directory of Services has been put together by the Kilcooley Community Mental Health Development Worker Kevin Bailey in partnership with Kilcooley Community Forum, South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust and the Department for Social Development.

The purpose of the directory is to offer residents a concise booklet with the contact details of various organisations and groups which provide services to help people improve their emotional and mental wellbeing.

The range of content and subjects covered includes:

Anxiety, Depression & Stress

Benefits Advice

Housing / Homeless Advice

Suicide Prevention & Support

Violence & Trauma Support

Carers Support

Disability Support Services

Eating Disorders

Mental Health Support Services

Family Support

Children / Young People’s Support

Other Support Services

Jim Rea Chairman of Kilcooley Community Forum said, “Kevin’s idea to produce this simple but effective booklet is great. It allows every household in our community to have a resource available to them where they can access information about professional services and advice should they encounter mental or emotional difficulties. It also informs everyone of the extent of immediate service interventions that are available to them and should help people to see they do not have to suffer alone or think there is nothing that can be done for them.”
